Chisholm Christmas Card Competition Winner Announced

Federal Member for Chisholm Anna Burke MP today announced the winning entrant in the 2012 Chisholm Christmas Card Competition.

Five year old Erin Dimitropoulos, from Ashwood Children's Centre, had her artwork chosen for Ms Burke's Christmas card design, which is being sent to every household in the Chisholm electorate next week.

Ms Burke said the winning design was chosen from a from entries submitted by  Kindergarten students across Chisholm including, Ashwood Children's Centre, Syndal Pre-School, Surrey Hills Baptist Children's Centre and Woodhouse Grove Kindergarten.

"The drawings submitted by all the kindergarten students this year have been absolutely wonderful, with so much imagination and talent on display," Ms Burke said.

"It was hard work to try and pick just one to go on the Christmas card and I congratulate Erin on creating the winning design and I hope it encourages her to continue drawing when she goes to school next year".

"I also want to thank the students from Ashwood Children's Centre, Syndal Pre-School, Surrey Hills Baptist Children's Centre and Woodhouse Grove Kindergarten, who submitted such a fantastic array of designs, I've put them all up in my office for everyone to see."

Ms Burke visited Ashwood Children's Centre to personally congratulate Erin and present her with her prize.

The Christmas card will be distributed to households in Chisholm and the artworks of all the entrants are on display in Anna's electorate office.
